Common poisons to dogs:

  • Slug pellets – seizure within 10 minutes

  • Anti-freeze – causes kidney failure – symptoms will be sickness and weight loss

  • Chocolate – causes kidney failure (dark chocolate the worst)

  • Rat poison – causes haemorrhage/internal bleeding/bruising on gums and body.

  • Grapes /raisins/currents – causes kidney failure

  • Ibuprofen & Diclofenac – HIGHLY POIONOUS TO DOGS

  • Onion/garlic/blue cheese/macadamia nuts also poisonous to dogs.
