Canine shock
Symptoms – white gums, panting, temperature drop, weakened pulse.
Causes – severe pain, trauma, haemorrhage, severe infection, major burns.
What to do
Put the dog in the canine recover position (same as CPR) and try and raise back end using a blanket or coat.
Risk Assessment.
Cover dog with foil blanket.
Go to vets ASAP.
Allergic reaction – symptom of swelling and go straight to the vets.
