Dedicated to the brave heroes of WW1. A perfect Winter Walk away from the muddy fields, but also a nice peaceful walk on a hot summer morning. The historic landmark Bailey Hill Water Tower which is now luxury apartments overlooks the park. It also has a fantastic view of planes coming into land and taking off from Luton Airport.

Putteridge Woods

Just behind Putteridge High School there is a great little woodland walk for those hot summer days when the pavements are far too hot for dog paws to handle. Take care with dogs off the lead as it follows through to the busy A505 from Hitchin to Luton.

Mangrove Green

If you go past the King William IV Inn in Mangrove Green it opens out to an amazing view overlooking Lilley Bottom and the ascent towards Offley, hook a left at the wall by East Hyde Lodge and up the hill towards Putteridge Bury. Perfect for summer and cold frosty days.

Great Offley

Great Offley lies on the top of the most north eastern ridge of the Chiltern Hills, and its population is 673. It has two excellent pubs, the Red Lion & the Green Man which is dog friendly inside the bar area. Plenty of walks from here including the Three Spring Walk.

Little Offley

Take the footpath immediately right after the bridge from Great Offley and the path eventually goes downhill. Beautiful views on a late spring day when the trees are in full bloom and the fields are covered with yellow oilseed rape.

Kings Walden

Great on a hot summers day with views of planes coming into Luton Airport and some nice pubs to grab a cold drink from 'The Red Lion' in Preston and 'The Plough' in Ley Green, they also have a shop and tea room.

Bushmead Hill

If you're lucky to live in Bushmead there are so many great walks on the doorstep, which lead onto Warden Hills & eventually Barton Le Clay. Also great access coming from Stopsley village across the recreational park beyond the sports & leisure centre.

Warden Hills

Overlooking South Beds Golf Course there is a fantastic view of Luton Town and the Chilterns on the horizon. Keep going over the hills to access numerous great dog walks.

Sharpenhoe Clappers

Visit this classic chalk escarpment in the Chilterns and enjoy wonderful views across this beautiful area. This circular walk makes use of the John Bunyan Trail and the Icknield Way Path to take you on a tour of the Sharpenhoe Clappers and the Smithcombe Hills.

Breachwood Green

Starting & Finishing at the 'Red Lion' Pub in Breachwood Green this 4.7 mile walk has many beautiful views over the Chilterns and across Lilley Bottom and visits the secluded rural hamlets of Kings Walden and Ley Green.
